I am a London-based barrister who specialises in all areas of information law. I represent individuals, companies and organisations bringing or defending claims relating to privacy, harassment, confidence, defamation, data protection, and freedom of information. I am certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals in European Data Law (CIPP/E) and advise on all aspects of the GDPR, and other relevant legislation.
I studied Economics as an undergraduate and prior to becoming a barrister I was a journalist, working in London and Moscow. As a result of my previous career, I have considerable communication skills and practical experience that gives me a unique perspective on cases.
I was called to the Bar in 2012 and undertook rigorous training at a common law set of chambers in London, qualifying in 2013. I have experience in both civil and criminal cases. I have also undertaken a considerable amount of international pro bono work in cases relating to freedom of speech, political transparency, data governance and human rights.
