The High Court ruled that Morrisons was vicariously liable for a leak of its employees’ data in 2015. An employee had used his position to steal and publish confidential information about his colleagues. A class action suit against Google Inc. has been filed alleging that Google unlawfully harvested personal information of 5 million people in the U.K. by bypassing the default privacy settings on the iPhone in 2011 and 2012. To read the article, click here.

The European Union is planning to file an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court regarding the case Microsoft v U.S. Last year, Microsoft successfully challenged a search warrant permitting federal prosecutors to obtain emails stored on computer servers in Ireland.
